I hooked my ancient laptop that is running XP with a wired connection to the back of the router and was able to get like 94Mbps along with my boys Apple laptops wirelessly are able to connect in the high 80’s to low 90’s. On my current Dell Windows 8. I doubt it is a Driver issue.. You have stated your Drivers are up to date Think it is the card I have then? Need a new card? XP drivers for DW

The laptop uses wi-fi and the PC is wired. I upgraded to Win 10 Pro but then found that I could not get online.
The driver is designed for Windows 8. Mikail, Thank you for the link and installation instructions, I was able to download and install the driver on my Dell Inspiron running Windows 10 64 bit.
Both of these machines have a good connection to the network; they both get the best download speeds I can wlam.
The upload speed is right in line where it should be based on the internet plan I am on. Hope you can help. I am having a battle between Microsoft and Dell Techies. I’m thinking I either need a new computer or at least a new card? I can understand that though because it might have a wireless card that does not support higher speeds.

The only thing I can suggest is to completely uninstall and delete your WLAN driver from device managerreboot and try to install the driver again use the link above for the download — it says the driver version is First uninstall the current driver and pice sure you delete the driver as well when given pcke optionreboot then try to install the driver I have provided.
Think it is the card? The driver listed on this page is compatible with your card so I would say there is no harm in trying it out.
But not with 7 involved.

MS tell me if I download a Win 10 network adapter driver then upgrade will work. It is wpan the download speed I am having trouble with.
I have the same problem as Carlos earlier. Browse to the location where you extracted the Atheros drivers to and select it.
The laptop can only reach mid 20s. How ever lets see if the Driver in the Link below makes any difference I did notice the only laptop I have which is a dinosaur running XP that wired it is 94Mbps but wirelessly it is also way slow like my Dell.
